Groundwork

While on Globe, Kunugi Renya was the 14th successor of the Ittoryou Way of the Kunagi Schoolhouse and at the mere age of 13 yrs, he became the best swordsman from the whole schoolhouse. Then at the age of xv yrs, he went to China to learn various stealth and murder techniques and soon became part of one of the best armed and dangerous groups in the underworld. While beingness part of the underworld he killed so many people that just hearing his name people would run for their lives.

During World State of war 1 he enlisted in the army where he was recognized for his demonic strength as he had killed numerous people to the point of continuing on a mount of corpses with just his katana solitary. This feat bestowed him the proper name "Demon Swordsman" and he was awarded many more recognitions by the militia and was sent to several battlefields.

In Eredora he was reincarnated past God into the body of an eighteen yrs old male person with no memories of his previous life. When he came too he institute himself inside Maismatic Forest in the Eastern Continent with merely the memories of his interaction with God after his death.

Physical Attributes

Magic

Renya has a great affinity towards the wind element but is capable of using all the elemental magic. He is also able to activate spells without the need to recite the incantations. This allows him to apply more than one spell simultaneously.

The spells known are:

• Light (Not-elemental Spell) - After chanting the incantation "Light grant me your strength." a small ball of light appears. This spell was bought from Ballad Wilier for 7 Silvery coins.
• Fire Bullet (Offensive Spell) - Its an offensive spell invoked past chanting the incarnation "Fire bullets grant me your strength". It was taught to him past Az Hound in commutation for lunch.
• Marco Burst (Offensive Spell) - It's the tweaked version of the advanced air current magic spell "Storm Formation" that creates a tornado to attack the enemy. It was taught to him by Kirie.

Weapons

Uchigatana

It is a long-sword fellow member of the Japanese Katana family gotten in exchange for the Shinai. It's a sacred object having the attribute to destroy magic and with God'south blessing was given the attribute 'Indestructibility'. Information technology is shown to exist extremely durable and is even able to cut ghosts.

It was intended as a substitute for the Shinai given to him by God and was taken from his grave dorsum on Earth.

Knightly Sword

Unbeknownst to Renya God had made the shinai's attribute as 'Indestructibility' making it stronger than diamond. If used properly it could destroy anything including a castles walls or a dragons scales. It is as well capable of destroying the seals that create the boundaries between the worlds. Grand after being returned to God this attribute was taken away.

Trivia

• Renya's background is most probable based on Prince Asaka Yasuhiko, former general of the Imperial Japanese Army who were declared to be involved in the Nanking Massacre and passed away at the age of 93.
  • Renya lived to 94, died of old age and was never tried for murder. While Prince Asaka was never tried for the Nanking Massacre as he was a member of the Regal family, and died of natural causes at the age of 93.
  • In the original spider web novel, it was stated that in his previous life, Renya one time joined part into a world state of war where they attacked the capital letter city of China and killed a lot of Chinese citizens in that location at 1937. This might exist a reference to the events of Nanking Massacre.
    • This detail was removed and changed to Renya simply attacked an enemy city with no mention of the country's name in both light novel and manga adaptation.
